Mount Mercy classes resume on Saturday, June 21. The campus is re-opening to staff, faculty and visitors on Monday, June 23. All camps and activities resume on Monday, June 23. All updates and campus information will be posted on www.mercystrong.org.

Mount Mercy College will be closed through June 20. Authorized visitors to campus must display proper identification at all times.
All classes, camps and activities are cancelled through that time. The library and athletics facilities are also closed duting this time. Only essential personnel (not including library staff) should report to campus. Supervisors are currently phoning direct reports regarding the campus closure.

Mount Mercy will be CLOSED on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14. In addition, the Library will also be closed on Friday. All other activities planned at Mount Mercy, including athletic camps, are cancelled on Friday.

Only ESSENTIAL personnel (with the exception of the Library staff) should report to work on Friday. Departmental supervisors will be in touch with their staff members regarding specific duties.

The campus lost power at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12. Power returned at approximately 10:00 a.m. but we have been cautioned that rolling power outages may occur in the city of Cedar Rapids and may impact Mount Mercy's campus again.

Further updates will be distributed through the media and through campus e-mail and on the campus voice mail system (319-363-8213 x1532). In the event of another power outage, Mount Mercy's email system will not be able to distribute messages.

Mount Mercy Campus is CLOSED Thursday, June 12. Classes are cancelled.

Further weather and flood updates will be sent via e-mail, the SNS emergency system, and released to local tv stations for "scrolling" at the bottom of their screen.

The New Student Registration scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2008 has been postponed due to the current emergency situation in the state of Iowa.

The event has been rescheduled for July 12, 2008. Additional information will be forth coming.

Many of our vendors and connections in downtown Cedar Rapids were compromised because of the flood. You may experience difficulties while we try to bring everything back online - services may be interrupted. Please be patient with our progress.
